The New Zealand Trolley Derby and the Australian Billy Cart Derby have never developed into the highly regulated Soap Box Derby that has evolved in the U.S.

May that never change.  In the webmaster's opinion, the diversity of New Zealand's trolley derby rules and specifications and the variety of racing, from short, straight gravity drags to slalom to grass tracks and then the steep, winding, adrenalin-pumping courses such as Gisborne's Kaiti Hill, make a tremendous challenge for us innovative Kiwis, who are still able to build competitive trolleys from cheap or recycled materials.

The object of these pages is to help challengers and organisers to...
keep it safe
keep it fun
keep it innovative
keep it inexpensive
keep it going
